GEFCO & Talan gather on VivaTech in order to identify new innovative services for vehicles mobility. Car repairs can take time, which can create problems for rental car companies and the individual users who need to find garages, organize transport, collect information, etc. With this in mind, both companies are challenging the hackathon participants to come up with the automotive auto-maintenance service of tomorrow by developing a system which would allow drivers (or the vehicles themselves) to directly request supplier maintenance services to GEFCO partners from their vehicles. Solutions range from a “dash button”, allowing the end client to report problems to a predictive maintenance system based on Artificial Intelligence, to a gamification system which would allow the end client to manage car repair evaluations or an automated parking solution.
The best automotive auto-maintenance hack will receive a 5,000€ reward.
The project is part of GEFCO Group’s shared policy of innovation started several years ago and reaffirmed with recent partnerships, most notably with the Techstars incubator. The GEFCO Group wishes to promote and encourage innovation to foster the acceleration of project execution to radically reform the supply chain and transportation industries.
