GEFCO is proud to be the Global Sponsor of the Automotive Logistics UK Conference 2016, which provides the opportunity to meet, network and debate the issues and challenges of the supply chain within the Automotive industry.
GEFCO was pleased to take part in the ‘Automotive Logistics UK – 2016’ international conference that took place on 5-6 October 2016 at Mercedes Benz World, London. With more than 100 companies participating in the conference, including car makers, producers of automotive components and spare parts and leading logistics providers, the occasion proved to be one of the leading events for the automotive industry this year.
The UK conference consisted of 4 sessions:
1. Motoring ahead : examining the certainties and uncertainties following Brexit
2. A window of opportunity : maintaining the pace and building the capabilities to support competitiveness and productivity as UK vehicle output evolves
3. Strengthening the UK supply chain and logistics : the wider challenges facing supply chain and logistics operations in the UK
4. Exploring the potential : a high level panel discussion on major themes of the conference
Luc Nadal, Managing Board, GEFCO Group presented ‘Logistics Partner for a Changing World’ in the last session which included details of our new Logistics Centre of Excellence in Halewood; a world class solution for our customers. Luc Nadal also joined the panel discussion moderated by Louis Yiakoumi, Publisher, Automotive Logistics Group answering questions from the audience regarding the actions that must be taken to ensure a stronger British automotive supply chain.
