We’re proud to have created a workplace based on respect, trust and autonomy that keeps employees engaged and enthusiastic about our shared future. We obtain these by pursuing our KPIs that are centered around developing our employees, attracting tomorrow’s talents, achieving gender equality and increasing employee engagement.
Develop our employees and future capabilities
Our expert workforce enables us to keep overcoming industry challenges and meeting evolving customer needs. To ensure our employees are always trained to the latest standards, GEFCO operates a global training platform called GEFCO University, which is available online to all employees globally. Employees can access the platform in 13 languages which increases the accessibility of educational and informational content for all of our people.
Attract tomorrow’s talents
It’s through the joint talent and determination of our people that we are capable of consistently meeting customer expectations and overcoming industry challenges. To ensure that the Group always disposes of the resources that correspond to its needs, GEFCO has a solid talent acquisition and development process, including orientation and induction programs for on-boarders as well as performance management programs for current employees. A robust apprenticeship and internship program is at the heart of this process.
Achieve gender equality
GEFCO encourages diverse backgrounds and career paths in order to support the development of our teams. This diversity is reflected in the variety of profiles that exist within the company, particularly gender, nationality, age and disabilities. We strive to ensure equal opportunities for all our employees in professional development process, and this KPI formalizes our engagement to further improve our equality index.
Increase our employee engagement
Stabilizing voluntary turnover as well as employee engagement rates is a major focus. To monitor employee engagement, GEFCO runs PULSE employee surveys every two years, favoring an open and cooperative working environment for all of our people and ensuring that the voice of our employee body is heard.
Although delayed to 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the PULSE survey, conducted in June 2021, recorded a participation rate of 87%, an increase of 5 points compared to 2018.
Day to day, our employees are guided by our Infinite Proximity culture and 10 guiding principles. These support our Partners, unlimited brand promise, alongside our ambition to achieve responsible, sustainable growth for all our stakeholders.
