François joined GEFCO 8 years ago after a preliminary experience of transport in the Netherlands and Germany.
He tells us about his role.
‘Being in charge of an Automotive Transport and Logistics Centre predominantly means being responsible every day for the safety of people and the security of goods. Thousands of vehicles pass through this site every year. Some of them have to be prepared or customised in specific ways before being distributed to dealers and rental firms.
So my work consists of organising, coordinating, supervising and developing all the site activities in order to meet the objectives laid down by the group in terms of client satisfaction, quality and productivity. This involves a wide range of activities, with a breadth responsibilities that require solid managerial skills.’
